The Story

Like most people, my self-care habits haven’t always been the best. At certain points they have been seemingly non-existent. Some days I would struggle to just get out of bed. I felt no sense of purpose, I had constant anxiety, my stomach was a mess and I was carrying extra weight that was causing insecurity and a sense of hopelessness. During this time period my PMS symptoms were out of control and it felt like I was losing two weeks a month to moodiness, depression, and isolation. I was essentially losing half my life, and I wasn’t the only one who suffered with it. There was a tremendous impact on my relationships as well.

Even as a Registered Dietitian, I would turn to crash diets with the hope that the weight loss would be enough to carry me to inner peace and a sense of control. As many of you know all too well, that isn’t typically the outcome. For years I struggled to create some semblance of balance in my life. It wasn’t until I prioritized my health above all else that I built lasting habits and paid attention to triggers and my body’s response to different foods and habits.

I do no preach austerity in lifestyle, seek to eliminate food groups or promise some get thin quick scheme. I simply hope to guide those who want help towards a sustainable and intuitive approach to eating and lifestyle management.

My journey to wellness has taken a long time and I am still working on it. What I hope to provide to all my clients is a sense that being a work in progress is ok. We are constantly growing and changing; trying to find better ways to manage our shit. I provide evidence based guidance on nutrition, stress reduction and overall wellness to help people reach their goals and forgive themselves when the execution isn’t perfect, because let’s face it, it very rarely is.

Change takes time, but you can start feeling better now with support, guidance and a personalized plan of action.
